i tend to agree with seeking help, but it is the defence that is real worry, and bruce is meant to be expert in defence.

I fear that those around him are not doing him any favours,

the fittness guys must be doing something wrong if we are getting so many injuries

the motivators must be doing something wrong as they seem de motivated.

Surely they need something, I spoke to a parent of a mascot of the west ham game, and she told me that the players were all down in the dressing room before the game, silent and "down", whereas the west ham dressing room were playing music, laughing joking etc, maybe something lacking there, Savage and Clinton messing around, etc? need team spirit back...

get motivational guy anthony robbins in, he has helped american football teams win stuff, when underdogs, they need some thing!

the only thing wrong with getting SB help is i cant remember it working anywhere else it's been tried.

liverpool tried it with roy evans and i think dave bassitt when he was sheffield united did'nt work either.

Talking of motivational consultants, have you seen the articles/reports about Wigan having one. It seems to make all the difference with them. They're good tactically, but most of all they're confident and seem to play "in the zone". Football is as much to do with the head as with the feet.

If thats correct Sam (and I don't doubt you), then thats sad

We could be radical, we could bring someone in to motivate the team, get the best out of players and organise the training

We could call him a "Manager"

LOL

I guess we all need extra motivation sometimes, a fresh approach, I am sure Sb is good manager, but feel he is not the most motivational guy alive, anthony robbins is, but doesn't know a thing about football, but doesn't need to... we need an extra push,

and sadly i am right about dressing room

there was some talk a few years ago about hipnotists coming into some clubs to ease there fears before big games.

i dont know if it worked but it could'nt do any harm.

It almost certainly does need someone looking at motivation, but its too late to bring anyone in now for any effect on Saturday - and lets face it, if we lose Saturday Bruce is going.

It was clear we needed a leader, someone vocal in the summer - we didn't sign that person

Remember beating Ipswich in the league cup semi's? - Ipswich admitted we won it in the tunnel before the game when Horsfield, Grainger, O'Connor and the others came out the dressing room pumped-up

They haven't got the ability that the current squad have got (thats not knocking them), but my word when the chips were down they would fight for this club

Thats gone, lost, and we're much much poorer without it

Excellent point. They may not have quite had it ability wise but they got the players going and you know they would give their last drop of sweat for this club and the cause.

I am not even sure if we have anyone like that any more.
